SUMMARY:Day Before The Trials Derby
DESCRIPTION:Event Date:  June 15\, 2024 \nJudge: TBA\nOpening Date:  May 19\, 2024\nClosing Date: Jun 6\, 2024 \nAll entries must be done online! \nDerbies will be a mix of show jumps on the 100×200 sand arena and cross country jumps on Grass derby field. The\ncourses will NOT run in the same track as the Horse Trials on Sunday\, though some of the jumps will be the\nsame. Derbies are open to everyone\, not just competitors in the horse trials. Pre-entry is required. Courses will be\nmeasured with an optimum time. There will be NO dressage for this derby.\n \nStabling:\nPermanent stalls on grounds. Stalls MUST BE LEFT CLEANED.\n \nLevels Offered: Green As Grass (max 18”)\, Starter (Max 2’3”)\, BN (Max 2’7”)\, Novice (Max 2’11”)\, Training (Max\n3’3”); Prelim (Max 3’7”)\n \nScoring: Rails will be 4 PP; Refusals will be 10 pp (show jumps or XC jumps); Time penalties will be at\n.4/second. There will be no dressage tests associated with this competition. Closest to optimum time without faults\nwins ties\, if tied most stylish round wins.\n \nAwards: Ribbons through 8th & payback for all classes with 3 or more entries.\n \nEntry Fees: TBD.  $5 of this goes to payback for all classes with more than 3 entries. Winner gets 75%\, 2nd place gets\n25% of the pot.\n \nSchedule: This will depend on how many people enter. We will likely start about 1 and be done by 5.\nDerby 1—Step over poles\nDerby 2—GAG\nDerby 3—Starter\nDerby 4—Beginner Novice\nDerby 5—Training\nDerby 6—Prelim \nOvernight stabling is available if you would like to stay for the Horse Trial on Sunday. DESCRIPTION:The annual CAF May Flowers Derby\, Combined Test & Dressage show is scheduled for May 11\, 2024. We gear these shows to be a welcoming environment for all competitors\, whether it is your first show or you are a experienced competitor. The courses will be true to the level\, but with combinations having an additional stride on cross country\, and the ability to continue despite refusals. We want everyone to leave the grounds more confident and happy! \nShow Date:  May 11\, 2024\nJudge:  TBA\nOpening Date: April 15\, 2024\nExtended Closing Date: May 4\, 2024 \nOnline Registration | Mail-In Registration \nEntry Fees\n\n\n$22/class Dressage classes\,\n$50 Combined Tests or two consecutive levels for $85\,\n$60 Eventing Derby or $95 for two consecutive levels\n$10 lead line for little kids;\n$20 extra jumping schooling round.\n$20 late fee for entries received after the closing date— accepted only with permission\n\nStabling: $30/day permanent stalls on grounds available from 2 PM May 10 through end of show. Early/Late arrivals must be arranged with show management. Bedding available for purchase\, $10/bag indicate number needed on entry form. Stalls must be stripped! \nNon-Stabled horses: $15/horse. Only entered horses permitted. \nRefunds: No refunds after closing date\, refunds less $10 office charge before closing date. No refunds if event is canceled due to extremely adverse weather conditions. \nOther Information\nSubstitutions: Substitutions will be allowed for a horse OR a rider in the same class. A $10 change fee will apply. Anything else constitutes a new entry\, and will be accepted or not as time allows. \nRide Times: Will be emailed–include legible contact on paper entry. \nArena: Dressage classes will be held in a 20 x 40 M outdoor arena with sand footing; First Level and above will be in a 20 x 60M ring. Jumping classes will be held outside in a 120’ x 200’ all weather sand arena. Event derby—a mix of show jumps on sand footing and cross country fences in the field.\nWarm up: Grass and a 60 x 150 indoor with Sand/Rubber/GGT footing.\nAwards: Dressage: Six ribbons per class will be awarded. Combined Test: Placing to 8th. Lead line class the kid picks the color.\nDirections: From I-465: North on US 31 to 256th Street. West (left) on 256th Street 1.7 miles. Barn is on the north (right) side of the road. Don’t follow Mapquest or your GPS if they try to send you elsewhere!\nFacilities: Bathrooms in barn.\nPercentage Test: Any test not offered in the Class list\, indicate test you wish to ride on entry.\nAttire: ASTM helmets are required at all times when mounted. Formal attire is not required. Neat polo shirt (Shirts should not have writing on them)\, boots and breeches or boot-like half chaps and paddocks are fine. DESCRIPTION:Tim has established himself as a top rider and sought-after trainer. Tim was named to the Irish High Performance list and is looking forward to the development and future success of Bourke Eventing.
